Sport Specific Information
Why this sport?
"I have always been sporting. I played basketball, and practised cycling and running. I skied when I was young as well. Cross-country has always been close to the family. And I felt that skiing was my thing, as it also relieved my pain."

Impairment
In December 2013 he contracted a rare autoimmune neurological illness that resulted in paralysis from his hips downwards. "The doctors had a hard time understanding what it was. The first year I went back and forth with some medication, some worked, but it also had side effects. After two years, the realisation came that I would be like this for a long time. That's the thing. I do not know whether it will get better one day, or worse. Uncertainty is not something I focus on. I focus on other things and try to develop as much as I can." (expressen.se, 14 Jan 2019; blogg.skistart.com, 28 Nov 2017)
