He took up Para skiing in 2011. "I tried Para alpine skiing and I liked it, but there was a risk that I would fall and injure myself, therefore I decided to give up on skiing. It's dangerous, but adrenaline was attracting me, so I was still thinking about skiing. Then, I discovered cross-country skiing. The Serbian Paralympic Committee agreed that I could train in cross-country skiing, but only if I would not withdraw from athletics, which was a perfect solution for me." (, 22 Feb 2018)
