When and where did you begin this sport?
He took up Para athletics in 2003 and started competing professionally in 2008 at the Al Wafaa Wal Amal Club in Egypt.
Why this sport?
He was interested in sports after his friends started taking him to a club. He took up a number of sports including kung fu, boxing, wrestling, Para powerlifting, football and sitting volleyball before trying high jump. "I wanted to challenge myself. Kung fu training prepared me for high jump."
