SWITCHING SPORTS
Having previously competed in Para athletics, he made the decision to switch to Para alpine skiing in 2018 as he felt the sport would offer a new sporting challenge and reduce his chances of injury. "I told myself a year ago [speaking in 2018] that due to injuries it would be difficult to continue in athletics. The preparation is almost the same for both sports. The muscle groups used for the warm-up are almost the same. Almost the same exercises are done." (sudinfo.be, 26 Nov 2018; Ligue Handisport Francophone Facebook page, 25 Aug 2018; tvlux.be, 25 Mar 2019)
