Impairment
She was born prematurely weighing only 570 grams, and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age 15 months. In 2008 she had surgery to both legs, which included breaking both her femur bones. Her parents were told it might take a year and a half before Lee began to see the benefits of the operation, but she was walking again three months later. (Facebook event, 20 Oct 2011)
