When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up para-athletics in 2013.
Why this sport?
A promising junior athlete before her accident, she had represented South Australia at a junior level. She was inspired to take up athletics again after meeting her former teacher Cathy Lambert. Lambert worked on the Australian Paralympic Committee [APC], and encouraged Tscharke to get involved.

BROTHERLY ASSISTANCE
She competes in a specialised javelin chair made by her brother Matthew Lee and brother-in-law Kym Tscharke. "You need a specific frame to be able to do it, so it needed to be completely custom made.
