Other information
HIATUS
She was involved in able-bodied athletics as a teenager, but quit the sport at age 14. In 2012 the birth of her daughter Tilly inspired her to take up para-athletics. "I was involved in athletics growing up but I walked away when I was 14 because my coach at the time asked if I'd ever thought of taking part in para-sport. At that time I wasn't willing to accept there was anything wrong with me so I decided to walk away from the sport. It wasn't until 2012 that I thought about returning. I wasted quite a few years doing nothing and I would not do it if it wasn't for Tilly. She is the fire in my belly." (bbc.co.uk, 25 Oct 2015; paralympic.org, 24 Jul 2015)
