Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport?
He started training in para-sports in 1993 and took up athletics in 2003.
Why this sport?
He began training and competing in weightlifting in 1993 to build up his strength and regain his independence. Dropping the competitive sport after three years because he was not fully drawn to it, he continued to do strength training as a way to maintain his everyday physical capacities.
He discovered athletics by chance and immediately liked the sport. "I was looking for a new sport then. I tried it out and I liked it right away."
