When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up Para athletics in 2015 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Why this sport?
"I'm from a sporting family, my father was a football coach, my brother is a football player and my mom played handball." She trained in handball for 12 years before taking up Para athletics. Coach Vlastimir Golubovic noticed her potential while she was playing handball, and encouraged her to take up Para athletics. "Javelin throw is one of the most difficult disciplines and also one of the best to watch, somehow similar to handball."

Her sport career began with handball as she played at club ZRK Pirot. "Since I was born with deformation of my right hand, people have always been prejudiced against me. Everyone was asking how a person with impairment can do sport and I proved that it is possible to even play handball with able-bodied players, I played in right wing at ZRK Pirot. I wanted to show others that people with impairments can do any sport, no matter what. I never let anyone to pull me back from achieving my goals. I pushed myself forward and showed that with will, courage and confidence people with impairments can do a regular sports as well."(espreso.rs, 25 Oct 2019)
