STUDIES BREAK
He took a two-year break from his studies at the University of Malaya between 2015 and 2017 to focus his attention on preparing for the 2017 ASEAN Para Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He went on to win a gold medal in the T45/46 100m at the event. "I sacrificed my university studies for two years to chase for the gold. I'm glad it paid off. I took the break to focus on improving my endurance and stamina. It's not easy to juggle between studies and training." (hmetro.com.my, 30 Oct 2018; thestar.com.my, 21 Oct 2018; thestar.com.my, 21 Sep 2017)

OTHER STUDIES
He has also studied for a degree in sports management at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. "Education adds value to your sporting career. Hopefully one day I can help raise the standard of Para athlete development. Talent scouting for disabled sportsmen need improvement because unlike our able-bodied counterparts, we don't have many tournaments to shine."
