Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up various sports in 2007 and decided to focus on athletics in 2009. In 2018 she began competing in Para cycling.
Why this sport?
"I wanted to participate in every fitness exercises and work out with kids my age. However, the doctors were adamant. I loved sports, but I was not allowed to practise them. But then I was starting to walk long distance to improve my stamina and one morning I was walking past the offices of the National Sports Federation of Persons with Impairments [EAOM-AMEA] and entered through simple curiosity. I thought, 'why don't I try?'"

Other information
EARLY DAYS
She had a tough childhood where her father had a health issues and her mother had a mental illness. She and her sister grew up in a children's institution in Greece. "My parents had some financial and serious health issues. My dad lost his kidney and had to go for a transplant, and my mum had serious psychological problems, and she was forced to let us grow up in an institution. She actually left us the opportunity to grow up normally and have a better life, because she was unable to provide those for us. That was what I believe happened. At the institution we grew up with comforts and love. With all the kids we became friends and we had beautiful years of our adolescence. It was full of love, laughter and games." PARA CYCLING
Cycling was one of the sports she practised after her doctor allowed her to begin sporting activities in 2007. "I love every sport that I've practised. Both athletics and cycling are two difficult sports to build endurance, improvement and technique. But I think cycling suits me the most. I feel free and complete at the same time."
