When and where did you begin this sport?
He took up Para athletics at age 12 in Delft, Netherlands.
Why this sport?
When he was younger he competed in able-bodied football before switching to Para athletics. He was then invited to an event at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam, Netherlands, where he was scouted for the Dutch Paralympic talent team. "I enjoyed it more than football and people told me I was quite good at it."
Training Regime
He trains four to five times a week on the track with Rotterdam Athletics, and has two sessions a week at the Olympic Training Centre in Papendal, Netherlands.

Impairment

DISTANCE LEARNING
He uses online distance learning to catch up on school classes he misses due to his sporting career. He is also assisted by coach Arno Mul, who previously worked as a teacher. "I don't do much for school, although I have to do my best this year [speaking in 2019] to pass with better grades. I catch up by following the online teaching material and doing my homework, among other things. [Mul] was also a teacher, so he is allowed to test me." (atletiek.nl, 06 Nov 2019)
