He began practising athletics in Amiens, France, in 2007. In 2017 he took up Para athletics.
Why this sport?
"It was by chance. I wanted to run and enrolled in the AUC [Amiens Universite Club] because I just could not do nothing. I haven't stopped since." He began competing alongside able-bodied runners, and once he could not compete with them he switched, in 2017, to Para athletics.

He has weakness on the right side of his body due to a head injury he sustained while figure skating. "I was trying a double-twist jump when my head struck [another skater's] skate. I was hospitalised and underwent brain surgery to remove a blood clot." He went into a coma and when he woke up he could not speak and his right side was paralysed.
