Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport?
He first practised the sport as a child in his garden at home. He began competing at age 10 in Launceston, TAS, Australia.
Why this sport?
His brother encouraged him to take up shot put when he brought one home from school. "My brother stole a shot put from school as a joke. The teachers were after the shot put, so my brother gave it to me at the bus stop. I took it home and because we had a 10-acre farm there was a lot of land and I chucked it on there. I loved it."
