Impairment
She was born three months premature with heart, stomach, vision, lung and hearing problems, and was also diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She has had major surgery multiple times and wore plaster casts on both legs for eight years. Her parents were told by doctors that she would never talk or walk but she has proved them wrong by talking, and walking short distances. (dailytelegraph.com.au, 18 Jun 2011)
