When and where did you begin this sport?
She began swimming as a young girl, following in the footsteps of her sister. At age 11 her parents applied for her to gain classification as a Para swimmer.
Why this sport?
"My older sister Anouk was taking part in swimming competitions, so I was allowed to start training too. Because of my limitation, it has not always been easy, I have difficulty understanding things, which can make it hard to learn technique. But, with a lot of patience, I can succeed."
