He took up Para swimming at age three, and began competing in 1997 in Avellaneda, Argentina.

Doctors encouraged his parents to take him to the pool as they felt it would be good for his condition. "I always loved swimming."

OTHER ACTIVITIES
In 2017 he became a member of the Proud Paralympian programme team that staged workshops at the 2017 Youth Parapan American Games in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The scheme, which is an International Paralympic Committee [IPC] initiative, aims to give Para athletes the tools they need to give their best on and off the field. He contributed as a coach and advisor. "Being a Proud Paralympian leader makes me feel great pride because I have the privilege to spread and develop the Paralympic spirit with those who, in the future, will the make the [Paralympic] movement even bigger. He has taught advertising at the Argentinian University of Enterprise [UADE] in Buenos Aires since he began his teaching career at age 25.
