He received a two-year ban from the International Paralympic Committee [IPC] after he tested positive for the banned substance clomiphene at the 2017 World Cup event in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He was stripped of his silver medal at the event and suspended from competition from April 26 2017 to April 26 2019.
