He began para-powerlifting in 2011.
Why this sport?
He was an international arm wrestler but stopped in 2011 because of injuries. He switched to bench pressing, until 2012 when he found out that para-powerlifting is a discipline at the Paralympic Games. "It then was immediately clear to me that I wanted to compete at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro."
