He began powerlifting in 2011 in Perth, WA, Australia.
Why this sport?
He tried other Paralympic sports but did not feel he would be able to reach a high enough level, until he tried powerlifting. "I didn't find the success I was hoping for in those sports and I wanted something more, so I started looking for an individual sport to focus on."
