He began competing in 2015.
Why this sport?
After his accident he joined a Para curling team in Sapporo, Japan. However, he wanted to compete at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo so he decided to switch to powerlifting because it fitted in better with his work commitments.

Training Regime
He trains for three hours a day, three days a week, in Sapporo, Japan. Once a month he has a training session with the national team in Kyoto.
