She took up the sport in 2016.
Why this sport?
Previously a wheelchair basketball player, she was encouraged to try powerlifting by a friend she met at hospital. "When I tried it for the first time, I lifted 32kg. I heard that it was quite difficult for women to lift even 20kg, so people told me that I might be able to compete at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo."
