When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up Para powerlifting in 2018.
Why this sport?
She began swimming at age five and went on to win three gold medals at the 2013 National Para Games in Mexico. She quit swimming after she was reclassified following surgery on her legs, and decided to switch to powerlifting after taking a test in the sport.

She trains for up to two hours a day, three days a week. She also combines her powerlifting training with swimming and cycling.

ACTIVIST
She founded the social organisation 'Unidos por un Mundo Incluyente' [United for an Inclusive World] in Queretaro, Mexico. Through the association she has organised fashion shows for people of short stature, and she has also served as a motivational speaker and worked on the creation of inclusion laws in Mexico. Her achievements in this area include the incorporation of the term 'short stature' into the municipal manual of the city of Queretaro.. "Being a short stature person has been a blessing for me. It has give me the chance to face challenges and to realise that I am capable of doing this and so much more. Having an impairment is just to have the chance to learn something new."
