He began the sport at age 14 in Kamensk-Uralskiy, Russian Federation.
Why this sport?
"I had disproportionately large arms in my childhood, and my chest was not developed. I decided to go to a gym at age 14 to increase the pectoral muscles. My coach was Alexey Rezepin. From the first classes I really liked it being in the gym. And then I found out that there were competitions for people with an impairment, and my acquaintances advised me to contact coach Svetlana Paltseva, who was already taking impaired children to regional competitions."
