When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up the sport at age 27 in Barcelona, Spain.
Why this sport?
After her accident, she wanted to choose a sport that would allow her to train by herself. She also enjoys being physically strong, as it helps her support her husband. "Para powerlifting allows me to carry my husband's electrical wheelchair, so it is useful in everyday life. It is the ideal sport for me."

She took time away from sport to give birth to her two children. She was out of competition for around eight years before returning to training in 2017.
