In July 2020 he was working as a taxi driver while the Iranian Para powerlifting team were unable to hold training camps due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "I asked the federation to lend me bars, weights, tables and equipment so that I could train at home and keep myself ready for competition, but unfortunately they did not accept my request. With the bad economic conditions, I cannot afford weightlifting equipment. National team athletes are supported by the Paralympic Committee as long as they are at camp or competition.
