When and where did you begin this sport?
He took up sitting volleyball in 1998 with the SKISO Sinovi Bosne club in Lukavac, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Why this sport?
He met a sitting volleyball coach in a hospital stairwell and decided to give the sport a try.

Impairment
At age 16 he was working in a field near his home in Devetak, Bosnia and Herzegovina, when he stepped on a landmine. He lost his right leg below the knee in the blast, and sustained shrapnel wounds to his left leg, arm, stomach, head and lungs.
