Sport Specific Information |
When and where did you begin this sport? |
She took up the sport in 2008 at the rehabilitation centre she attended for treatment on her leg. She was later noticed by Odile Rouceau, a coach at the Shooting Sport [TS] Cholet club, who encouraged her to start competing. "It's thanks to her [Rouceau] that I am competing at an elite level." |
Why this sport? |
"It was also recommended that I try fencing, but shooting pleased me right away. I love being in the zone when I'm concentrating on a target. When I shoot a rifle, I forget everything else." |

Impairment |
She was born with a malformation in her left leg. At age 14 she underwent rotationplasty surgery, which was her 17th leg operation. The procedure involved her leg being rotated 180 degrees so that the heel on her foot could act as a knee and allow her to wear a prosthesis. (ouest-france.fr, 28 Sep 2013) |
