She was elected flag bearer for Team Newfoundland and Labrador at the closing ceremony of the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax, NS, Canada. She also carried the provincial standard at the closing ceremony for the 2009 Canada Summer Games, making her the first person in Canada Games history to be a flag bearer in two different Games.
