Other information
PARALYMPIC DEBUT
He is making his first appearance at the Paralympic Winter Games in 2022. He had hoped to compete at the 2018 Games in Pyeongchang, but an injury to his right knee meant he had to miss the event. He sustained a second knee ligament injury in 2021, which kept him off the slopes for 10 months. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I've experienced that a few times in my life. For an athlete's heart, the Paralympics are the greatest thing you can achieve. It's my first participation [in 2022] and is therefore very important to me - it's the goal of my life. I'm really looking forward to it and I'm excited to see what's to come. I can't say what's out there yet, it's a bit of a blind flight after the injury, but major events have shown time and again that anything is possible and that there are surprises. Why shouldn't I be able to do something like this?" (oepc.at, 07 Feb 2022, 05 Aug 2021)
