He took up skiing at age three with SK Vitesse in Skovde, Sweden, and began Para skiing in 2010.

Injuries
An anterior cruciate ligament [ACL] injury prevented him from competing at the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang. (sla.se, 13 Mar 2018)

Impairment
On one evening in 2009 the entire left side of his body went numb. His family took him to the hospital and, after completing an x-ray, doctors found a brain aneurysm. He was sent to a hospital where doctors planned to operate the next day, but the aneurysm burst, resulting in a stroke.
