Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up alpine skiing as a child. She competed in able-bodied alpine skiing growing up and got involved in Para alpine skiing in 2019.
Why this sport?
She competed in able-bodied alpine skiing when she was younger, and took up Para alpine skiing after her impairment stopped her from progressing further. "I could no longer compete. It made too much of a difference. My right leg became so much weaker. I did not have any thought of Para sport at all, I hardly knew that there was an opportunity for me to resume skiing. At first I thought, 'No, no, no'. But then we sat down at home and discussed it. And so I do have an impairment, so we should contact the federation and look for opportunities."
