He began playing ice hockey in 2010 with the Nagano Thunderbirds in Okaya, Japan.
Why this sport?
Previously a wheelchair basketball player, he was inspired to switch sports after one of his friends won a silver medal in ice hockey at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
