He was introduced to ice sledge hockey during his rehabilitation.
Why this sport?
He had played hockey and inline hockey before his amputations, and was introduced to ice sledge hockey through the Help for Heroes sports recovery programme. "I enjoy it because it is fast and furious and very physical, and I enjoy playing team games."

Impairment
In 2009 he was serving with the British Army in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
