He began training in 2010 in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russian Federation.
Why this sport?
The director of a local ice hockey club told him there was an ice sledge hockey team at the Centre of Sports for the Impaired in Ugra, Russian Federation. He did some research on the sport on the internet and watched it on television during the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver. He was intrigued and went along to training.
