Having taken a break from representing the Polish national Para ice hockey team in 2013, he returned in 2014 as a player-coach. He has also coached Polish club side IKS Atak Elblag. (, 31 Jan 2013;, 21 Feb 2015; Athlete, 03 Jan 2019)

He is a citizen of both Poland and the United States of America. He moved to Chicago with his parents in 1994, and represented the United States in Para ice hockey at the 2002 Paralympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, where they won a gold medal.
