Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up Para snowboard at the National Ability Center in Park City, UT, United States of America.
Why this sport?
She had first tried skiing at age seven on a girl scouts programme. "My first winter as an amputee, my father took me to Park City to get skiing lessons at the National Ability Center. I tried skiing and thought it was terrifying, so I switched to snowboarding. I really struggled with it at first, but I made it a personal goal to figure it out and get good at snowboarding. My father continued to take me to Park City every winter, and one year I was asked if I would be interested in joining Team Utah's adaptive snowboarding team."
