He first tried Para snowboarding in 2014. |
Why this sport? |
He first tried Para snowboard at a group rehabilitation session, and was then inspired to become a Para snowboarder after attending the 2016 US Championships in Copper Mountain, Colorado. Although he was not keen on the sport initially, he changed his mind after hitting the slopes with his friend, US Para snowboarder Mike Schultz. "He develops his own equipment. I tried his feet and couldn't believe it. The leg had a shock like you'd find on a mountain bike and the ankle had flexion. I made one run and had a big smile on my face. It was awesome, and it was going to be good. I've always been a competitive person and dreamed of being a professional athlete." |
