When and where did you begin this sport? |
He first got involved in Para sport at a running event in 2015, on the recommendation of his physiotherapist. He took up Para snowboard in late 2017 on a trip to the mountains with a friend, and he began competing three months later. |
Why this sport? |
He initially focused on Para athletics. He began taking Para snowboard more seriously after he was inspired by Japanese Para athlete Atsushi Yamamoto, who competed in Para snowboard at the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang after representing Japan in Para athletics at three editions of the Paralympic Games. "I had to give it a go. When I saw Yamamoto snowboard at the Pyeongchang Winter Paralympics, I thought, 'This is how I can win'." |
