Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport?
She began Para snowboard during her medical studies in Lodz, Poland.
Why this sport?
She initially took up running after a doctor told her that if she did no activity, she would require a hip replacement within 10 years. "I promised myself that I would show him. I immediately started rehabilitation. I felt as if I had finally activated a body that had been frozen for years." After completing a half marathon, she began Para snowboard. "I thought that if people without legs can snowboard, then so can I. So what if one of them is shorter and I have no feeling in it, I have two. Of course, I can no longer count how many times I fell and still tried to ride at least one metre. But I never doubted, even when my whole, battered body hurt."
